Before the Smoke

very leafy, dark brown, sweet smell out of the tube.

Cold Draw

An immediate sweet bourbon-like taste followed by cedar and leather

First Third

Spice, black pepper, cedar and the same sweet bourbon-like taste as noted in the cold draw.

The cigar smoked really well. The amount of smoke was fantastic.

The burn line was even throughout.

Second Third

The spice and pepper back off a bit but are still present. The cedar remains but only intermittently. The sweetness and bourbon remain consistent with the first third.

The burn line is straight the majority of the 2nd third and finishes with a curve– not technically a lip but a big wave.

Like the first third, this cigar put off a great amount of smoke.

The retro-hale included spice and a hint of pepper and cedar.

Final Third

Cedar seemed to come back a bit. No noticeable note changed, just a variation of more cedar and bourbon. The sweetness remained the same strength.

The cigar still smoked very well. It produced the same amount of smoke as the first and second thirds.

Final Thoughts

If you are a fan of consistency in a cigar, this one is for you!

Some infused cigars are a bit too much, this seemed to be a mild-infused cigar. We’d love to get our hands on some more and pair them with actual bourbon. Sometimes, that brings out the notes and flavors.
